About
JOHN CHOI
John holds a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture and a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. He has been an acupuncturist since 2005. His training includes apprenticeships, focusing on conditions that are chronic and difficult to treat, with master acupuncturists Lea & Thomas Tam and the herbalist, Ming Wu.
In the past, John was a volunteer at places such as shelters, hospice, hospitals and nursing homes. He is not a stranger to physical and emotional suffering, and the overwhelming sense of helplessness that often accompanies them. He wishes that more patients, wherever they may be in their healing journey, could learn about this healing art and benefit from it.
On hot evenings, you might find John with his feet dipped in Walden Pond or peeking through the crowds in Harvard square for outdoor jazz. He enjoys hiking and taking photos in nature. He is married to his wonderful wife, Allison.

Click "Directions" on the map and type in your location. If you are using a GPS device, make sure the city is set to Cambridge as there are many towns that have the same street name and you might end up far from here!
There is a bus stop only steps away from the clinic (#69). Bus 85 and CT2 also stop within a 5-minute walk. The Kendall (red line) & Lechmere (green E) stations are within a mile's walk. Here is the MBTA trip planner if you are coming via subway or bus. We don’t recommend biking to the clinic.
Parking
There are metered on-street parking spaces around the clinic that are rather easy to find unlike the rest of Cambridge. Please do not park in the residential areas. Traffic can be bad at rush hour, so if you are coming from far, try to get an appointment away from those hours or ask for a Saturday appointment.
Clinic Photos
There are two private treatment rooms and a spacious waiting room which is used for occasional small gatherings or qigong classes.
